When we hear “Wedding Photos” our minds immediately jump to the beautiful, romantic portrait of the wedding couple, but in reality being the one standing before the camera isn’t always a piece of cake. Some couples are naturally at ease in front of the camera, but most find it difficult to relax and be themselves. Take a breath and relax, your wedding photographer is just another friendly human being holding a fancy time capsule who wants to assure that you have beautiful memories of your special day captured. Find 10 weird and wonderful tips for your wedding photos below.

1. If you have any Specific Photographs in mind, share them with your Wedding Photographer or Videographer before the wedding day to ensure that your Photographer or Videographer knows to capture them.

2. Don’t forget to just Be Yourself during your couples shoot. We are here to document your love and all of the adorable, intimate moments in between. Don’t shy away from the camera, these photographs are an eternal encapsulation of you in your individual-togetherness and should capture who you are as a couple.

3. To add a natural and timeless feel to your wedding photos, choose a venue with loads of natural light and beautiful greeneries. Your wedding photographer will love you for it. (Bonus Tip: doing your couple shoot in a forest setting will ensure that you have some extra privacy and alone time with your spouse)

8. Keep your Head Up while walking down the aisle. You may be nervous, but keep your head up, even if you don’t smile. A thoughtful or content look is way better than only the top of your heads.

9. Remember to ensure to have enough Photographers – if you would like yourself and your soon-to-be to both be photographed getting ready, one photographer just can’t be in two places at once so assure that your package includes a second shooter.

10. Take a Breath! Don’t be too focused on having The Perfect photos taken, that’s the photographers’ job! If you spend your entire wedding looking for the camera, the photographer won’t get the chance to capture those special, unforgettable moments of yourself and your new partner in crime.
