Larochelle & Charlie Military Wedding at Tres Jolie
A gorgeous military wedding, as written by the beautiful bride Larochelle:
The Venue – We had a look at multiple wedding venues, but as soon as we saw Tres Jolie we knew that would be our wedding venue. We decided on Tres Jolie as we immediately fell in love with the beautiful chapel. The reception area was just what we wanted, nice and spacious but yet intimate.
Our guests are still talking about the beautiful venue.
The Theme / Colour Palette – We decided on Navy, Gold and Burgundy for our colours. We had a military wedding as my husband is an air force pilot
The Wedding Dress – JJ House Couture.
The Food and The Cake – We gave our guest a choice of Delicious leg of lamb and seasonal roast vegetables or beef lasagna for our main course. We Malva pudding for dessert. We decided on small individual chocolate ganache cakes for each guests.
The First Dance – Our first dance was to Unchained Melody by The Righteous Brothers. We choose this song as this has always been one of our favorite songs. Our first dance was one of our most favorite moments of the whole wedding.
The Details – In what creative ways did you cut down your wedding budget or manage to save time and money in the planning process? – Delegate, delegate DELEGATE! Even though this was extremely difficult for me, delegating helped me so much as I was in Bloemfontein and planning our wedding in Johannesburg. My mother Elize Gouws was our wedding planner and helped me plan every single detail however big or small. She also attended meetings on our behalf. I would say get someone that you trust with your life to help you plan one of the biggest days of your life.
