Surprise! This is your engagement shoot!

It is not every day that professional wedding photographers are invited to capture the magical, life-changing moment of a marriage proposal.

Accurately portraying the overwhelming surprise, excitement, love and joy of a couple’s first milestone moment in a proposal photo shoot is a serious responsibility – one that Mon Chéri Photography were honoured to accept.

A hopeful Aldain reached out to us with the idea of doing something extraordinary for Nerissa and ensuring that the beginning of their anticipated journey together would be immortalised.

Choosing the picturesque French cháteaux-inspired Bell Amour venue, the groom-to-be convinced Nerissa that they were going for a lifestyle shoot, which meant that she was looking every bit the glamour girl.

After a few posed photos, we signalled Aldain, who dropped to one knee and produced a ring befitting his soon-to-be fiancé.

The rest of their engagement shoot was a wave of palpable bliss and tenderness, with the newly betrothed couple unable to keep their eyes off each other nor the grins off their faces.

Add to that the stunning setting, amplified by beautiful golden light on the day, and Aldain couldn’t have orchestrated a better proposal.
